    Roman,
    you said in this interview that the USA spent alot of money on reconstruction, schools, bridges etc, I am sure there was alot of waste, and you also felt that it was a bribe to these people. Was the Marshall plan in post war Europe a bribe, if not so, then I’d be interested in hearing your opinion on the diffirence between the two, maybe not right away but someday.

      I’ve heard data that countries which received the most “help” from the Marshall plan recovered most slowly. The Marshall plan money went to politically connected but ineffective US companies, which squeezed out market driven local competition. I believe it was Robert Higgs making this argument.
