Russians automatically renewing contracts of their soldiers, threatening deserters

The Russians are fooling their contractors to keep the war in Ukraine.

They are automatically renewed contracts that ended before the start of hostilities. And when soldiers protest and want to refuse to fight, they threaten to arrest for desertion

There's nothing more absurd than the US & Russia criticizing Europe on free speech. In 2025, European states dominated the World Press Freedom Index: 13 of the top spots and 21 out of the top 30 were European.

The US ranked just #57, between Belize and Gabon, and Russia at #162.
