–“A march sponsored by the Socialist Party of Ukraine will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 1, starting at the Arsenal’na metro station and proceeding to either the Rada or the Cabinet of Ministers in Kyiv. U.S. citizens should avoid the area during this time and leave the area immediately if in the vicinity of a large gathering of any type.

U.S. citizens are reminded that tensions are high throughout Ukraine and additional clashes may occur during the holiday weekend from May 1 – May 4.

Even demonstrations intended to be peaceful can turn confrontational and escalate into violence. You should avoid areas of demonstrations, and exercise caution if in the vicinity of any large gatherings, protests, or demonstrations.”–
