CULTURAL OBSERVATIONS:

You may want the consumption of a living in a country with an absolute nuclear family, but I’ll guarantee that once you tire of the consumption – which you will, because we all do – you will wish you lived in a country with an extended family, whose attention you can never stop consuming and whose insurance against the vicissitudes of life are irreplaceable by the state.

I love Ukraine. The people. Despite the run-down, falling-apart, unmaintained, decaying, soviet architectural despair, I love every soul I know here. Even if, they would rather consume and experience, than appreciate the perfection of what they have, I love them anyway. Because if they don’t appreciate themselves, that may in part, be why the rest of us do.

What decays in the west is not so visible: the family, the culture, the community, and the human soul, leaving an alienated husk waiting to die alone.

The anglo-consumer west is a recipe for loneliness.

Marx was so wrong it’s worse than tragic – it’s criminal. Alienation comes not from disassociation from MATERIAL things, but from family, tribe, country and nation.

PUTIN’S EQUIPMENT RAID ON UKRAINE

Russia ships in not 30 but 200 trucks, of supplies, resupplies, and arms, and ships back the heavy equipment from the arms factories. The reason Russia wanted eastern Ukraine is because that’s where Russian weapons technology is manufactured. So just as the soviets stole the german machinery and using it at home, the Russians are stealing what is really, their own machinery from Ukraine, to use at home.

We can see this a number of ways, but as far as I can tell, it means that they have no hope of holding onto the territory that they keep losing and soon Ukraine will have the ability to destroy the factories and equipment and at that point, Russia has no material incentive in the short term.

We have been saying for six months that they way to eliminate Russian pretexts was to just start off by destroying the factories, but without air power Ukraine cannot to it. Russia and Yanukovich conspired to weaken the Ukrainian military over the past few years, so badly that the impoverished country has to rebuild all from nothing – and the west is useless and nothing but a betrayer of promises.

Again, rather than destroying cities and displacing hundreds of thousands, and destroying all hope of Russian participation in world affairs until Putin dies, it would have been trivially simple to simply buy the east and the peninsula districts from Kiev. The rest of the country wants to get rid of them anyway. It’s the home of most of our scumbags.

A Ukrainian citizen has claimed responsibility for “decorating” the Moscow’s “Stalin Tower” high-rise and says he is ready to give himself up in exchange for Nadiya Savchenko, the online publication FAKTY.ICTV.UA reports, August 22.

A Ukrainian citizen, who claims he painted the star on top of the “Stalin Tower” high-rise in blue and yellow and then attached a Ukrainian flag says he is willing to surrender to Russian justice in exchange for Ukrainian pilot Nadiya Savchenko.

Hryhoriy, who calls himself “Mustang Wanted,” described his feat on his Facebook page, adding supporting photographs.

“I, Hryhoriy (aka Mustang Wanted), a citizen of Ukraine, am forced to make this confession not for the sake of recognition but to bring about the release of innocent Russian citizens, who have been accused of hooliganism and who risk becoming victims of Russian justice, which is widely known for its fairness,” he wrote. “I am the man who in an impulse of true patriotism climbed to the roof of the skyscraper on the Kotelnichesky embankment and repainted it in the colors of our native Ukrainian flag. Then I raised the flag of an independent Ukraine there. I have photos and video evidence, ” he added.

He noted that this process was very time-consuming and took him almost all night. He finished his work around 6 am.
