Humans justify. Justification is necessary for adaptation, and we are very good at justification.

Canada is the world’s most privileged country, so Canadians can justify unprecedented luxuries.

Imagine, anywhere else in the world, a country of that size, with so few people, with that many natural resources, that did not have to defend that territory and resources from constant incursion by neighboring powers.

Ukraine and Siberia are two modern examples. Ukraine has roughly the same population, is rich in resources, and has been the victim of perpetual struggle for self determination from Mongols, Poland, Austria, Russia, the USSR, and now Russia again. Siberia is currently being occupied by Chinese intent on doing exactly what Russia did to Ukraine: fill it with people then justify taking it by force.

Canadians have the best of all worlds: a benevolent global empire on their border that cannot tolerate any instability in, or invasion of, Canada; oceans for all other borders; and therefore near immunity from the high cost of self defense, and the necessity of nationalism.

Canada and Australia, like the UK are for all strategic intents and purposes, islands, that like the UK, rely upon island-people-ethics: no fear of outsiders. Little fear of conquest. Little conflict over territory. No conflict over sovereignty.

Having never experienced the divisiveness of slavery, Canadians have never experienced the problem of internal race conflict. Slavery is the defining issue of american history and race and culture conflict remain unresolved and un-resolvable. The immateriality of french divisiveness versus american urban and rural divisiveness, causes less conflict in Canada but is equally as damaging, since it again causes multiculturalism that harms the center and west.

The data says that Canada is more conservative than the states, and that the only thing that forces Canadian policy differences is the french voting block. The french immigrants to Quebec were, unlike the Anglo immigrants to the other provinces, from the lower classes. So those class, religion, culture, family structure, and language differences, of course skew the country a bit as well. Unlike Canada, USA’s demographic blocks are not isolated but intermingled as horizontal bands reflecting the cultures that immigrated at different latitudes of the east coast. (See the “Nine Nations Of North America”.)

Now, Canadians tend to look at this strategic privilege as a product of their high mindedness, but nothing could be further from the truth. Cultural differences and Political policy in all countries reflect that which people are ABLE TO implement as policy, and ABLE adopt as cultural preference. People prefer luxuries that they CAN possess. They CAN possess them for strategic, not cultural or political reasons.

But as soon as Canada reaches the level of cultural competition that is present in the states, North and South Italy, France, Germany, and the UK, west and east Ukraine, West and east Russia, Tibet, Mongolia and china, conflict over cultural competition will increase there as well, and the long run of Canadian privilege to treat multiculturalism as a ‘good’ rather than as a profitable luxury in small doses, will end as it is ending in the rest of the world.

Islands have the highest trust cultures for a reason. They can afford to. They are able to. Because homogeneity allows for political and cultural homogeneity. And homogeneity reduces political, economic, cultural conflict, and turns class differences into virtues because tolerance for redistribution increases with homogeneity of kinship.

Canada is importing to its ‘island’ the promise of low-trust, high conflict, authoritarian polities, and thereby ending its island luxury.

(So that is why we americans tend to see cultural self-congratulation of Canadians as the prancing and preening of spoiled children whose safety and luxury Americans pay for.)

This is an excellent point-by-point refutation of all of the claims made by self-professed “libertarians” regarding the shooting down of MH17, and their allegations that the Ukrainian government was involved. Global Research has recently claimed the the evidence is “conclusive” that the Ukrainian government shot down the plane, but the fact the SU-25 plane which is alleged to have shot down MH17 can only fly at altitudes of up to 23,000 feet and MH17 went missing when it was 33,000 feet in the air gives the lie to this ridiculous story. Let me make this clear: there is no US “war propaganda” regarding Russia because the political will for a conflict with Russia in the US is zero.

There is nothing different about our government operating by incompetency, self interest, ideology and whim, than any other government operating by incompetency, self interest, ideology and whim.

What is worse is that westerners in general have adopted this absurd christian universalism, and worse, have advocated the spread of democracy, and the democratic socialism of high trust societies to the rest of the world – a world which consists almost entirely of low trust, racial, tribal, and familial corrupt polities, incapable of such institutions as the west uses regularly.

What’s worse, and ironic, is that the Jewish method of anarchic universalism, is even WORSE than the christian – it’s not just wrong, it’s suicidal.

All rothbardians are advocating is ghetto ethics: the ethics of levantine polities.

The rest of the world is largely made up of grownups: you can choose whatever order you need to for the polity that you must make use of, but whatever order you do choose must be artificially imposed by the threat of violence, since all ORDERS by definition require that we reduce transaction costs and produce commons, even if that commons is limited to the reduction of transaction costs: ie; trust.

На фото мій друг, мій “брат”, мій командир- “Сухарік” Сухарєв Олег Ігоревич, командир першого відділення розвідвзводу батальйону “Айдар”. 22 роки, м.Івано-Франківськ. Справжній патріот і Герой України. Справжній чоловік, який пройшов весь Майдан і з 8 травня перебуває у лавах “Айдару”. Це людина, без якої не пройшла жодна операція батальйону! Звільнення Новоайдару і затримання 14 сепаратистів під час виборів 25 травня, звільнення м.Щастя, взяття блок-посту перед “Металістом”, взяття стратегічно важливих “висоток” та мостів, взяття 18 членів спецпідрозділу “Дон” також не обійшлось без його участі!
“Від 18 листопада минулого року на Майдані. Вступив до 18-ї сотні. В драматичні лютневі дні разом з хлопцями, перебравшись у міліцейську форму, вигадав дотепний маневр і відібрав в міліції два водомети, які привіз на Майдан. Коли почалася війна на Сході України, вступив до батальйону “Айдар”. Командир першого відділення одного з підрозділів. Наразі я поруч (маю 2 тижня відпустки, щоправда залишився лише тиждень), та вже днів за 7 повертаюсь до АТО.. А в Сухаріка довгий шлях лікування, протезування та реабілітації.. Він БОЄЦЬ, не просто вояка, а справжній боєць і на війні і в житті! він тримається і пережива не про поранення, а щоб з нами, підлеглими йому бійцями, нічого не трапилось… Він мужньо терпить біль.
В той день, 27 липня, їх накрило мінами.. та ще й наш, український танк вистрелив в спини з переляку… від того пострілу Сухарік не просто втратив м`язи плеча- розтрощена кістка (залишились лише уламки) і вирвано шмат нерву.. тож кістку та нерв доведеться протезувати, а такі операції з нервами проводять лише закордоном.

За тиждень я повернусь на війну і мені дуже потрібна Ваша, друзі, допомога, щоб я знала, що Ви зможете і без моєї участі підтримати, допомогти пройти весь шлях лікування та поновлення Олега. Наразі, начебто все є. Лишень постійно треба знеболююче, що коштує майже 800 грн за 5 ампул.. А надалі…

The problem “of refugees from Donbas” urgently needs to be addressed. Throughout the other regions of Ukraine which hospitably sheltered them, a rising tide of discontent is growing. The calling card of a large part of the refugees–is a pathological reluctance to work, alcohol and drug abuse, ostentatious hate and profanation of Ukrainian symbols. . . . confidence in the Ukrainian government and the ATO are being undermined (local people can legitimately ask why do these sturdy blokes from Donbas get drunk at the expense of other regions, while the guys from these other regions are losing their blood [fighting] for Donbas?). . . .

Representatives of the so-called “”Kadyrovtsi” used open communication channels to contact ATO (anti-terrorist operation) command centers. This has been reported by ATO press center on its Facebook page. In particular, mercenaries asking for negotiations about possibility to retreat to Russia. On the other hand, Russia backed terrorists continue to carry out resistance to ATO forces and try hard to keep under control towns Ilovaysk, Gorlivka Shakhtyorsk Yenakiyeve.
