Conversation of terrorists about a capturing of mission OSCE

The Security Service of Ukraine has informed about a person, one of the commanders of the separatists, who acted under the name Igor Strelkov.

This is Hirkin Igor, who is Colonel of the Main Intelligence Directorate, has repeatedly traveled to Ukraine. Last legally crossed the Ukrainian border 26 February in Simferopol, when there was a seizure of the Verkhovna Rada of Crimea. The Security Service of Ukraine was stated, that Hirkin was participated in the shooting of the car of officers of Seciruty Service of Ukraine, which went to the Slavyansk, in the murder of deputy – Volodymyr Rybak and in the kidnapping of mission OSCE and SSU.

President Turchynov announces the replacement of law enforcement personnel in Donetsk and Luhansk and calls for volunteers.

Events in the East of our country have demonstrated the inaction, helplessness, and sometimes the criminal betrayal of members of our law enforcement agencies in the Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts.

This is one of the main reasons for the low effectiveness and lack of results of Ukrainian law enforcement in the struggle against terrorism.

This is hard to admit, but it is true. The vast majority of law enforcement officials in the East are not capable of fulfilling their obligations to protect our citizens.

In Donetsk and Luhansk, new heads of the SBU (Security Service) have already been designated. The leadership of the special force “Alpha” has been completely replaced.

Donetsk Student Demonstrators Tortured, Presented as “Right Sector” to Russia’s Propaganda Media

Tsenzor.NET reports relatives of students telling this to OstroV. According to the students, they had taken part in a peaceful pro-Ukrainian meeting on the evening of April 28, and separatists armed with knives and metal rods attacked them. The students were going home through Shcherbakov Park after the meeting was over, and there a group of armed separatists stopped them. They searched and interrogated them. Having found yellow-and-blue ribbons on the students, the separatists used force on the guys and took them to the Donetsk Oblast State Administration (OGA) building.

“They took them to the oblast state administration, stripped them, started beating them at their knees, slashed their extremities, then made them get down on their knees and beat them over their heads with sticks until they practically lost consciousness,” relatives said as they described shocking details about torture used by activists of the so-called Donetsk People’s Republic. According to relatives, the beaten students were then taken to another room, two pistols and Dmytro Yarosh’s alleged business card were placed in front of them, and they started filming a scene with commentary that the students allegedly were Right Sector activists. “When the students started denying the claim that they were connected with Right Sector, the separatists turned off the video camera and beat them up again,” said relatives. “Then they bandaged their heads and threw them out of the OGA.”

According to them, the students went home to get medical help, and they went immediately to the Voroshylov District police station in Donetsk to file a report on this incident involving harassment and torture. However, the investigator on duty at the district police station was wearing a St. George ribbon, and he told them directly, “Whether you want to write it or not, Russia’s going to be here soon anyway.” “Already today Russian television channels have shown a video claiming that five Right Sector members were arrested during disorders in Donetsk, students of Donetsk University,” said outraged relatives of the severely beaten students. “Actually, they don’t have anything to do with it.”

So Sick of Arguing about the Safety of Russians in Ukraine

There are plenty of statements made from Ukraine’s Russian and there’s plenty of polling data showing the fear is completely manufactured. Why the bias???

Why are you not worried about Ukrainians? No Russian books have been burned. Ukrainian books have been burned. No pro-Russian politician was tortured to death. A pro-Ukrainian politician was tortured to death. No pro-Russian mayor was assassinated. A pro-Ukrainian (as of recently) mayor was assassinated. No pro-Russian demonstrations have been attacked by Ukrainian thugs with baseball bats. Pro-Ukrainian rallies have been repeatedly attacked by Russian thugs who’ve even murdered a few Ukrainian demonstrators. There’s no history of Ukrainian slaughtering millions of Russians. There is a history of Russians slaughtering millions of Ukrainians.

Arguing about the commemoration of the Galician SS being called a “neo-nazi march” by RT

Roman Skaskiw The Galician SS Division formed toward the end of the war with the exclusive purpose of fighting the Bolsheviks, who, in the two decades prior to the war, exterminated up to 25% of all Ukrainians.

They were supposed to form the core of an eventual Ukrainian Army. This followed the model from twenty years earlier, when the “Sich Riflemen” of the defeated Austro-Hungarian Army formed a Ukrainian Army that fought first Poland, then the Bolsheviks, losing eventually on both fronts but allowing for the declaration of an albeit short lived Ukrainian state in 1918.

In its only military action, the Galician SS Division suffered 70-80% killed in action. This battle at Brody goes down in history as a mere speed bump along the Red Army’s advance to Berlin.

I recommend Timothy Snyder’s book “Bloodlands” to learn about the plight of people trapped between Hitler and Stalin. History is not as simple as you imply, especially in the East. You should not resort to name calling. That’s the tactic of the left.

RM I have to say that I think that the clothes lookes cool. But I would be very careful just to read one book. There is a lot of blood in the ground in this part of the world, and very few inocent groups.

A lot of the books espesialy those of the Ukranian despora are holocost deniers.

And yes to say that they fought ONLY the Bolsheviks is an utter lie. They where and Waffen SS Division, pure and simple.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/14th_Waffen_Grenadier_Division_of_the_SS_%281st_Ukrainian%29

Roman Skaskiw Did you read the wikipedia article you posted? It was their only major engagement.

Look, I’m not saying that they are heroes. I’m saying why it’s reasonable for them to get a sympathetic narrative in Ukraine. They are viewed by some as a heroic last stand against the Bolsheviks who slaughtered 25% of all Ukrainians in the two decades prior to the war.

The division itself was annihilated at Brody. What do you want from their ghosts? They fought to save Ukraine from the meat grinder that was the Soviet Union.

RM Roman: Yes I did serveral times. The division fought a lot more battles after that. I realy could not care less about this, but I can tell you that these marches are There for a reason. And a lot of the junk that the desproa have been spreading is holocost deniel pure and simple

Roman Skaskiw After Brody, only 3,000 of the Division’s 13,000 men were still alive.

I was under the impression that after it was rebuilt, it was no longer a predominantly Ukrainian division.

In any case, my point is that it’s dishonest to point and say “Look! Neo-Nazis!” This was a somber march to remember people’s great grandfathers and great uncles who died in an attempt to create a Ukrainian state, to prevent the Bolsheviks — who murdered most of Ukraine’s priests and intellectuals and up to 25% of the villagers — from returning.

They sacrificed everything for this noble cause. What the fuck do you want from them?

Your accusation is dishonest without the context of the genocide during which these men lived.

Interesting detail: One of the survivors of the Galician SS Division, Hrehori Hevryk, joined the Red Army and became an official “Hero of the Soviet Union.”

HD Roman Skaskiw, “History is not as simple as you imply, especially in the East. You should not resort to name calling. That’s the tactic of the left.” What do you mean by this and who is calling names?

Roman Skaskiw The headline of the article you posted. “Neo-Nazi March”.

RT is sympathetic to libertarians in the US, but completely useless on anything pertaining to Ukraine or other post-Soviet states.

HD You directed your criticism to me personally. Not so nice.

RM I will have to apologies for my ignorance. I can usually pinpoint most division in the war and there actions. But when it comes to the SS Division of the minor powers I have quite some gaps. Hence I rely on Wikipedia. Not the least because it is a leveled playingfield while books tend to favor the version of the author.

And that is perhaps a better advantage than the depth and details that I am sure are in the book you recommend. Although I will try to read it, because perspectives fascinate me.

But perspectives are just that, perspectives. The problem with this march is that it enhances one perspective. The one you just pointed out. Clearly coming from the people who fled the red army and settled in the west. And as far as I understand it is tilted.

There is a very good PDF describing this, I have downloaded a version.

http://194.14.172.112/~rene/PA-Rudling-on-Return-of-Ukrainian-Far-Right-2013-libre.pdf

So what do I want from these people. Well I would be happy if they would remember things for what they where not for what they would like them to be. Stop ripping up old wounds and expecting us to come and stop the blood that will be the inevitable outcome. We tried this one scenario before, in Yugoslavia. Let not do it again.

As for RT, it is the voice that tells what its master in the Kremlin would us in the west to hear, a perspective that the western media like to mute. Hence it an excellent source of news in combination with for example BBC. I would dread the day when RT is the only source, but the day when the BBC is the only news source is not very much better, we tried that in 1999.

As for calling the march neo-nazi. Well its interesting to see what there forum say about the news.

http://www.stormfront.org/forum/t1038334/

And while I totally agree with you that people should be looked at in there historical context, this is not a privilege that should bestode only onto the unknown groups that cooperated with Hitler. It should in fairness be given to all sides that lived in that bloody time.

Roman Skaskiw You’re right, Henrik Donnerberg. Sorry. Not directed at you, but at RT.

Roman Skaskiw But you do, Henrik, seem to be giving your attention exclusively to the Russian point of view, which at this point — after the murderer, the tortures, the hostages, the complete oppression of media, is a pretty tenuous position for any libertarian to be taking.

Roman Skaskiw Rene — I don’t care what stormfront is saying. I care what Ukrainians are saying. This march (which was quite small) remembers people who gave their lives fighting the Red Army for a free Ukraine.

If you want to understand the Galician SS Division, you must understand it in the context of Holodomor, by some accounts the biggest genocide in the history of humanity.

If you want to understand the accusations of neo-nazism, you must understand it in the context of Russian propaganda, which accuses Finland, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, even Belarus, Ukraine and Georgia of fascism and neo-nazism every time they try to distance themselves from Russian kleptocrasy.

Henrik Donnerberg But I have you Roman, who gives me an alternative position, thanks. Swedish media is very biased. It´s one voice together with EU; NATO; USA. We have foreign minister Carl Bildt who is also a one man show. EU/USA seems to be in symbiosis wth his views or perhaps the other way around.

Roman Skaskiw I think truth is more important than an “alternative position.”

HD What about the offspring from intermarriages between Russians and Ukrainians in Ukraine. What stance do they take. They must be all but a few.

HD Yes, truth…

Roman Skaskiw I know their stance quite well. I have many such friends. Not sure the relevance.

Roman Skaskiw There were Russians from Russia fighting on Maidan. It’s been truly a masterpiece of Kremlin propaganda to turn the revolution against a corrupt government into an anti-Russian movement. I have three personal friends in Lviv who’ve told me of phone calls from relatives in Moscow asking whether it’s true that people are beaten in streets here for speaking Russian. After Russian thugs assaulted a pro-Ukrainian protest in Donetsk with baseball bats yesterday, Russian media reported that Ukrainians assaulted Russians.

Russian political power relies on convincing their population that they’re surrounded by rabid, homosexual nazis, and that the only defense is offense.

So worry about “truth” before you seek a contrarian narrative simply b/c it opposes the EU.

Brothers my ass

brothers my ass. :)

Ukraine is a very strong culture trying to create a state to protect itself. For centuries, it existed politically only as a series of rebellions. It survived even the extermination of up to 25% of all Ukrainians during Soviet times. We will survive this too.

Russia is the opposite. It’s a state searching for a culture. Muscovites were a finno-ugric people. Not even slavs. Their first conquest, Novgorod, were slavs, but they were not. “Russian” is the name given by czar Peter I to all the disparate people he conquered. They include Asians, Turkik people, Slavs and Finno-ugrics. They are a fake people held together only by gunpoint and a culture of corruption.

I’d be more worried about Russia’s history problem, and culture problem, than about Ukraine’s political problem.

During Soviet times, there was an expression: if you beat a Polish person long enough, he becomes Russian. This is how they regard all their neighbors. It’s not sustainable.

People don’t do well in captivity. The east will become Asian. The south, Muslim. It’s core – Moscow, St Petersburg – will hopefully reinvent cultural Russia once political Russia implodes. Until then, their identity revolves around war and conquest to the detriment of everything else.

Kharkiv Mayor assassination attempt

Andriy’s comments:

He had organized and financed “Oplot” thugs from Kharkiv (pro-Russian bastards who were killing people in Mariinsky park and on Kyiv streets).

Keren was one of leaders of pro-Russian secession project but after several days he had changed his position to neutral.

He was heavily involved with many bad people, from local oligarchs to the Kremlin. He’d been to prison three times.

Report of his death:

http://vsekommentarii.com/news/2014/04/28/10967812.htm

Other news sites report he is still alive: http://www.segodnya.ua/regions/kharkov/pokushenie-na-kernesa-eto-kriminalnye-razborki-moskal-516353.html

Kharkiv ex-governor Michail Dobkin (who also has Jewish roots) says that it could be Maidan supporters who wanted to kill Kernes.

[That’s probably the safe thing for him to say.]

Dobkin was a close friend of Kernes and they both were on Russian side. Now only Dobkin remains there. He runs for a president because that gives him immunity from being arrested and jailed.

For several years Dobkin and Kernes were paying to local hooligans to throw green liquid (zelenka) in faces of their opponents while they were visiting Kharkiv (Yatsenyuk was one of victims) Here is Dobkin’s face in Mukolaiv two weeks ago: http://trust.ua/files/photo/source/0000035601-mihail-dobkin-zelenka.jpg

Current PM Yatzeniuk also got the green paint treatment.

Instructions for Russian Special Forces in Eastern Ukraine intercepted: use women as a voluntary shield

The newspaper “Ostrov” published a transcribed fragment of instructions for Russian special groups (Spetsnaz) of the Main Intelligence Directorate (GRU).

“The military man in uniform goes on speaking:

So, the first stage has been completed – administration centers and the houses of Security Service in two big cities have been overrun. Let us proceed to the second stage. We are going to follow the same scheme, but now you need to split yourselves into smaller groups (30 to 60 people). These groups will attack police departments in small towns. You’ll get the name of your destination on your way to it. After we overrun a department, 20 to 30 local people we have recruited before will join you. They might bring you food. Give them guns, never mind if they don’t know how to use them. Anyway you will be the ones to use weapons if you feel need to do so.

Everyone in the place knows these people, so they will be your “talking heads” and hostage where necessary. They have to speak out previously discussed requirements. Don’t show yourselves. Yours is a military deal. As you join these people and form the first defense line, you must inform us in order to spread information about the state affairs. We have enough people for that in a particular town, as well as throughout the region.

Eventually curious and sympathizing people will start gathering around you. Among them you’ll meet our guys who must bring you all you need. First of all try to involve more people, convince them to stay with you. Distribute publicity materials. The “talking heads” have to provide you with them. Remember, you are just executors…

Pay special attention to women and kids. They are your voluntary shield.

I repeat once more: those who come to stop you will never shoot at women and their children. It is hard to believe, but don’t worry. Women and kids will stay alive. But if you let them go away, the enemies will kill you. Later on they will kill these women and their children to blame this murder on you. Remember that you resist the Nazi monsters! You have to stand there for about seven days till the beginning of the third phase of liberation operation.

– What measures do we have to take if the police resists?

– Shoot to kill. If you succeed to break into the office, shoot the one who shows resistance to frighten others. To impress make it with extreme atrocity. Make local security forces hide the body. It will demoralize them completely.

– What should we do if they surround us in accordance with the principles of anti-terrorist operations?

– I’m answering. Firstly, we will occupy several towns which will make it difficult for them to deploy antі-terrorist troops everywhere at the same time. Secondly, we have our people in the local security forces who will block such action as much as they can. They are ordered – in case the antі-terrorist forces are deployed despite all our counteraction – to choose some people of authority officials as voluntary hostage. In case of assault they have to be killed. That’s your responsibility. In addition, our Minister of Foreign Affairs lays down conditions of no military solution for his participation in the international negotiations. It’s his additional favor for you guys [laughing in the hall]

– But if the authorities bend before our “talking heads”?

– We need to get information about that immediately. On the way back from negotiation “the heads” must be assaulted. If you fail to do it let them come back and isolate them from the crowd. If you are unsuccessful in persuading people it is the local authorities’ ploy, accuse them of treason and kill one of officials in front of everybody pretending being in emotion explosion. Remember, there should be no agreements with the local authorities at all! We will negotiate with them when they are behind the bars.

Any other questions? No? God help you sons. You were trained for years; you are the pride of our troops. Your motherland relies on you.”
